Brake light cover
I lost my brake light cover yesturday on my ride to Long Beach. I didn't discover it until I got home last night. I recall awhile back that someone else had lost theirs and was wondering if anyone had the part number so I could order one tomorrow.
Thanks,
Diggittt

Someone is selling both brake light units on Ebay listed under Cam Am Spyder. Listed at $5.00 PS how the heck do you lose a brake light cover i think there is a screw that holds it in and than a wire that is attached to the socket that is attatched to the lens . Did you have the lens off in the past?

What about those members that replaced their tail/brake lights with magic's setup? You are talking about the lights at the back of the seat and not the license plate light?

To bad it wasn't one of the taillight/brake lights. I'm scheduled to have the whole assy's replaced at Americade Friday. You would have had to pay just shipping.

Bad news for you. You can't just buy the license plate light cover, you need to buy the entire assembly. SpyderGirl replaced hers with a generic light, although that wouldn't throw a white light on the plate unless you modified it. She used some kind of trailer light, but I haven't found one the same shape around here yet. I like hers. There have been some other, similar mods which also added a third brake light and new plate mount. BTW, if you do replace the BRP light, I would recommend dabbing some RTV silcone in the screw hole before you install the screw, to help hold it in. I lost mine, too, but not the cover thanks to my HyperLite wires.

I just replaced mine, not because I lost it. But, because it is ugly. I went to a Harley shop and bought a after market Cat eye tail light. It looks great and it's chrome. I only had to do was mark center line and drill two holes and connect the two wires. It will only work as a plate light. Oh by the way. It's a lot easier if you take the fender off. It cost $22.00

Maybe now is the time to change out the rear fender to the one that Lamonster and some others are using.
