Yet another heat post@
I apologize now if this has been discussed to death but im new to the forum and there were actaully so many posts about this issue that it was overwhelming. I have a 2010 rss and the heat blowing onto my right shin is becoming unbearable. Keep in mind this was with the outside temp barely hitting 90 so im really concerned about summer temps. Most of what I found was regarding the rt models and a recall. Ive seen the three step kit from spyderpops but I’ve also read tha5 removing the lower panels will redirect the heat. Can you please help me narrow this down to the best option for my rss? My last ride before going into the hospital was unfortunately in heavy traffic and my leg actually started to blister. I know your probably sick of this topic but please help. I really want to enjoy my bike this summer and a long trip is out of the question until this is solved. Tia!

Replace the exhaust gaskets and be sure you wear thick pants and boots.

You name it and I've installed every mod available and find the only actual help is the thick pants and boots. I will add... tall/high boots.

Here's what I did...
I have an RS which is the same basic design. With the spyderpops heat control I have no problem with the heat. The radiator foam wrap and the deflector work great I added some 11/2"and 2" holes to the bottom panels and ryde with Light lace on and blue jeans.

Kudos to you for at least attempting a search. You're correct about what you found. Hope you find a solution

I have an original year 2008 GS Manual and I like to ride in shorts. Me and jeans in the summer just doesn't work. I found a solution to the problem on the really hot days. In Sept I got a new 2018 Sea Doo GTX 230, a little pricey but has solved the problem. Really hot days I'm on the Ct River, not so hot I'm on the Spyder. Its really hard to say which BRP toy is more fun, the GTX does 70mph. One of my Spyder riding friends bought a Jet Ski as well. Cant wait for the warm weather !!

Lets hear more about the holes in the belly pan or just plain removal.

ALERT! Found mouse nest in airbox partially restricting air filter. Removed mouse debris and installed new filter... improved heat issue.
