Customer Service. Confirming A Lesson We All Know
I bought my condo in late 2010 after my last divorce.
I upgraded the kitchen faucet to a Peerless with a pull out spray wand in early 2011.
The control buttons for the spray wand stopped working. I can get the spray to go on, but it's impossible to return to the streaming function.
I still have the parts list and called Peerless with the ID numbers to buy the repair parts.
It seems that after only 7 years of service, I can't buy the repair parts.
My faucet has a lifetime warranty, so they are shipping me the parts for free!
Pretty cool, huh ??
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

Had a flexible shower hose on my boat. For some reason I kept the original package and after a few years it developed a crack and leak. The package said "Lifetime Guarantee". Took it back to the pluming store and they gave me a new one. Owned the boat 26 years and did this 3 or 4 times. A deal is a deal.......

had a similar faucet experience with Moen.
Faucet broke after 5 years or so, made a call to get repair parts and was told they don't make that model anymore. I received a new faucet, similar- current model in 3 days.
It's good to see companies stand behind their product and keepthier word.
Other side of the customer service coin-got a Fomotion handlebar clock and thermometer for Christmas from my daughter one year. The minute hand came off the clock, called Fomotion since there is a warranty. They told me I needed a receipt. Told them it was a gift and I usually do not get a receipt with a gift. I was told tough, no warranty-no replacement without a receipt. I will never purchase a thing from Fomotion again and will share this experience every chance I get. Bad company

I have one to share, even though it didn't happen to me (to a friend)...
His portable generator blew the engine after very, very few hours of use (broke the crankshaft). They said, "Send crankshaft so we can x-ray it."
Then they said, "Yup, crankshaft metal was defective." And sent him...
Not a new crankshaft...
Not a new engine...
...But a whole brand new generator just like the one he had!
And that company was Briggs & Stratton.

It sure is nice...
... to hear about great customer service, especially those companies that stand behind the "Lifetime Guarantee" that goes with the product.
