Passenger Armrest
Just bought a 2015 Spyder RT Limited it has these armrest on it
armrest.jpg
It is attached with three bolts, I am assuming that there is a nut on the other end. Apparently, one of the nuts have come off and the bottom of the armrest swings out. Can someone advise me on how to get to the back side of the mounts?
I am guessing the whole speaker mount will have to come off.....

I had those on mine for a summer. Mine didn't mount with a nut on the inside. Holes were drilled into the housings and then a rubber insert with metal threads was inserted into the hole. When you tighten the bolt it will swell the rubber insert and hold the armrest tight. Mine worked fine, but alas She Who Must Be Obeyed wasn't happy with these particular armrests.

What armrest did you go to?

Haven't replaced them yet. I chose those and since she was not happy with them she will have to choose the next set or go without. Doesn't matter to me since I don't use them.

I have been thru Corbins, VERY expensive and poor quality. Show Chromes, not bad, reasonable price, but she didn't like them too much. I now have the BRP arm rests and so far so good. I recommend the BRP's

Try looking them up online...
If they match up: give them a call, and they should be able to send you the mounting instructions.
Good luck!
Thanks for the advice Bob, I called them today and they are sending me replacements free of charge.
Thanks again

They mount with a rubber insert with a sleeve that expands when tightened, just don't over tighten or the sleeve will come loose from the rubber.I see you already called rivco and they are sending replacements.I had did the same thing when one of mine came loose.

I'm glad that my first "guess" worked out okay...
You can get the same armrests through Ultimate Seats as well. They would have been my next choice for information.

Navydad, what was it that she did not like about the arm rests???? I'm looking at getting rests for my 5' 1" wife soon.

My wife is 5'2" and she felt they were too high. Things like armrests are a personal preference so maybe your wife will like them. I may try a set of the Show Chrome rests. I can modify them easily if she wants them lowered. I don't know if it may be possible to mount the Rivco's lower on the speaker housings or not.
