    Some of us run on the loose side 160-200. But if you have a tensioner, ryde double up more than solo or do more freeway and not so many curvy road it coud vary. Rule of thumb is you should not be able to twist the belt 90° about 45-60. Sonic testers are the ones used by the dealers and if you have a friendly one they could bounce it a few times for you....

    I've been running 140 with the wheel off the ground and no vibration. What's the point of checking with the wheel on ground?

    Less work for a quick check.....as long as you are comparing apples to apples.
