Beautiful bike Dan, it would be a perfect starter for me but I don’t have the SO onboard yet.
Congrats on your other purchase!
Better work on her.! My wife is NOT a motorcycle person, but even she thinks it's really cool. The Russel seat makes a big difference!
And thanks for the kind words...
Beautiful bike for someone who appreciates the way you have customized it. I think you would have a larger market if it wasn't so cluttered with the sound equipment.
Pete, I went to great lengths to NOT clutter the frunk (like the JL system does). The carry-on bag still fits perfectly.

This is just bad information! While Russel takes into account your size in a very general way, the seat will comply to a large range of riders.
I think the Russell seat is custom fitted to the rider, if I'm not mistaken. So, unless the buyer has the same ergonomics as you do they will have to get another seat.
shouldn't this be a question asked by the buyer and answered by the seller?
So if I'm 5'8- 5'9 and shrinking with age how doe that seat fit or vice versa how do I fit the seat!
You will love the seat. What Russel does is make a wider, more cupped seat that spreads your weight over a much larger butt-shaped area. This is a HUGE improvement over the stock seat, on which most of your weight is concentrated on your crotch. With the bar risers added, you are in a more upright position instead of the lean-forward position which takes pressure off "the boys" and many riders prefer. Ditto all of this for the passenger. It's a medium, or average density foam that hasn't even been broken in yet so it will conform to the new owner very well. You can't find a bad review on these seats!
This is one beautiful Spyder, I have seen it in person. Dan did an amazing job on the stereo system and everything else on the bike.

Beautiful bike, with a load of nice mods that I would love to have. It is also priced in a very good spot. I saw in another post that you are upgrading to the RTS. I think you will be very happy with your new purchase, and whoever gets your RSS is definitely getting a gem.

Time of year for a newbie, plus some timing issues on both ends complicates this a bit. How much does shipping one of these cost or does anyone know of any vendors that do that? Then there’s the damn Ca licensing etc. but still all in all a consideration.

It would be cheaper and more fun to fly to LV and ride it home.

Your right about this ..... the last time I checked a used Spyder must have at least 7,000 mi. on it ...if it's going to brought into Calif........ Of course if you did buy this He could put it up on a stand and let it Idle in first gear till it hit 7,000 + .....it wouldn't take that long .....good luck .... Mike

Trrying to interpret the reg. but if the bike is 50 state emissions certified that rule may not apply.
