Are you referring to the tire valve? If it's in good shape probably not, however, I've always replaced mine, it's cheap insurance and may prevent problems down the road. Dale

What all are they doing to your SPYDER? No seals in my rear wheel. What maybe the tire valve?

Those are the wheel bearing seals in the wheel
I would let them replace them, they must think they are bad for some reason. Plus they are not that expensive.

Their technician or service writer / manager must think its wise for preventable maintenance. Seeing as thats the seal(s) protecting the bearings from the elements.

If your thinking they are just trying to make some extra money, They surely aren't getting rich off of selling you those seals as they aren't that expensive. So I'm sure its just for preventable maintenance purposes.

I think they're just trying to lighten your wallet. In my Green manual it does call for seal replacement when the wheel bearings are changed, which makes consummate sense, but not during a simple rear tire replacement IMO. I've had three tire replacements and have never been told the seals needed to be replaced. The dealership wouldn't pass up an opportunity to add a few bucks to the bill either. If the belt tension is correct the bearings and seals should last a good, long poke.

otherwise be a vulgar brawl.
