    Default New Risers

Today I installed my risers. Everything went fine. I put the new bars on with the slot about the same as the old bar. But when all is done my controls still move. I don't want to strip the threads. The slot on the left was 8 o'clock and the right was 4 o'clock.

Do just the controls move or the whole bar twist? If the bar moves there is a set screw that goes into the bottom bracket that should keep the riser bar from twisting once the bracket screws are tightened.

No. The bars are tight. Just the controls move about a 1/4" What is the magic fix???

Is the locator pin in the plastic still there? I know that I've seen some new Spyders with that pin missing.

I've taken lots of controls off in my days of working on the many bikes I've owned. First thing I did when removing each control, was slowly open it and look at what is inside. Looking for a something that would fit into that notch. Nothing. Thanks for the heads up on the pin. I'm going to losing it up and slip a peace of rubber an tighten it down, that should work.
