Default Goodbye to the RT-S lineup

It appears that the rts is not being continued? That makes my decision for the future difficult. I don't know if I want all the limited features and the price increase for them. But I also would like more than what comes on the base model?

You would just be buying a blacked version of the RTL. It will include the new display and if you don't want the chrome you don't need to get it!

    Brent,
It DOES seem that a blacked-out version of the RT-L might be pretty close to what you're looking for.
We're all still digesting these line-up changes: give it a little bit of time, and the smoke will clear!

    Right on BLUEKNIGHT911,
Doesn't take a kings ransom to get a nicely tricked RT basic model. I just added Seal RT SE5 Floorboards for 1/2 the price BRP charges for their half sized floorboards. I have radio, cruse, heated grips, fog lights and Zumo GPS. Don't need chrome, luggage, and another GPS. WAY LESS $$$$$$$. I just want to make sure I can...

I went with the 2017 RTS over the Limited because I preferred the blacked-out look over the chrome bling. I guess I was in the minority if they are not offering the RTS anymore.

Okay, I have an RT-S and I like it a lot. I bought it because I was okay with the "fake" chrome plastic decorator panels and not willing to pay an additional $4K for "real" chrome and the Garmin. I paid about $28K for my S. No way am I going to pay $32K for an L. It appears they are pricing some out of the market. If true, they appear be going to entry level/deluxe and no mid market. My 11 was an A & C (a step above entry), I added floorboards, a different seat, trunk light and driving lights. Linda likes hers better than my S. So...I guess we are happy.

    RE: new model announcement:

Well...we waited, we procrastinated about what, we saw.

I feel like I got Ralphied. A new dash, toggle switch, and some speakers?????????????

It looks like my predictions for the model year were right on about models, colors, and no engine tweeks. I do like the colors.

For me, not worth several thousand more for a new dash and a color change. Will be sticking with my 2011 and 2014.

I would not buy an RTL, I don't want chrome either. I rode an F3T and I don't like it as much as the RTS.

When I get another motorcycle in a few years I may go with an Adventure bike anyway. I rode a BMW GS adventure and a KTM 1290 Super Adventure, I am hooked !

Ok, I'm going to add "chrome" to the list of things never to mention on this Forum. So far, the list now includes:

    Chrome
    Tires
    Font Size of Posts
    Bob's RV
    Oil

I may need an excel spreadsheet to keep track of this soon.

It can definitely be done. I bought my 2014 RT and upgraded it to exactly what I wanted for. After getting a great deal on a new purchase, I ended up with what I wanted for a total investment of around $19k

I have a 2014 RTS also, and I like it a lot, I'm going to wait and see what the 2019 Spyder line-up will be. I'm keeping my 2014 for awhile.

I am not trading. Chrome is nice, but a lot of work to keep it clean, & etc.

On the same page. I don't have time to be cleaning all that chrome and didn't need the GPS so the RTS was the easy choice.

It is still basically the RTS. It is just called a RTL black. At 29,299 it went up 1,000 because of the new display.

I have a 2012 Can Am Spyder RT-S in Magnesium Silver. I believe the RT-SE5 is the same thing. I've added a few things to personalize it, and add to the comfort level:

Corbin dual color heated seat with rider backrest
    Vanity mirror for passenger
LED light for illumination in trunk
    Kaddy beverage holder for rider
Bluetooth FM radio transmitter from Lamonster
Black carbon fiber racing stripes from Wrap My Spyder
    LED fog, and head lights
    Stebel air horn
Dash mount from JT's Spyder Store

Had a question though. Below the RT-S is the Can Am Spyder w/audio and convenience package. By it's very description, I would have thought it came standard with the cb, and entertainment harness. Does it come with the harness at least, and then would the RT-SE5 come with the harness?
