Towable camper?
Going to do my first long distance overnighter the end of the month and a depending on how my old bones take it.... I've started to think about a towable popup for future trips.
Any suggestions or tips. Looking online but this is the place for people in the know about Spyder specific stuff.
My 16 F3T isn't wired and doesn't have a hitch yet but that's an easy remedy.
TIA, Pat

We have a Bunkhouse that works well for us.
I added electric brakes to it just to make stopping less stressful on the spyders brakes.
Towed it about 14700 miles in three riding seasons with the spyder.
I have the 1330 and it tows it with NO problems.

We have a Aspen knock off that we use and love it . I've pulled it with the 998 and now the 1340 and both bikes handled it well, 430 pounds completely loaded including a box of fire wood and never a problem, pulled it over 50,000 miles between the two bikes all over the PNW without any major issues.

We have a Bunkhouse by Bushtec...
...and tow it behind our 2010 RT with no problem. It is a queen-size bed with an area for dressing that I can stand up in - I'm 6'1". Aspen makes a similar towable. Works for us....

Pat you will have to get an add on to your wiring harness BRP wires it for their trl and the connection will not fit do not waste your money buying a canam harness. Depends on the trl you buy what their male plug in is 4/5 or 6 prong. Electrical Connection out of Tennesee makes them for the can am

Trailer
I pull a time out basic, 340#'s. Getting started from a dead stop requires a fair amount of slipping of the clutch, and in the rain is difficult to do without wheel slipping. Have around 8000 miles towed so far.
All the great movements in the world began with a cup of coffee!

Pierre over at Can Am Spyder accessories.com has a great hitch which I put on my Spyder in about 30 min. He also sells a plug and play wiring harness that gives you a flat 4 prong plug. All his stuff is very high quality and he is also a sponsor here.

His wiring harness does not work on 2016/17 F-3 limited per Pierre

It tows well. Great size for one person, sets up in 5 minutes. I don't really like the small wheels, I worry about them spinning so fast. Put new bearings and packed them well with grease. So far no failures. Pulled it 2400 mi. so far. I added a piece to the tongue to lower the front a little bit because I didn't like the angle while I was pulling it. Do a google search and look at pictures and you'll see what I mean. I bought it used and I am happy.

I pull a compact camper behind my 2011 RT. I pulled it on an Iron Butt run earlier this year. All 48 states and Alaska in 10 days. Back home total mileage 12000. It did wear a set of brake pads out on the back.

I have a Roll A Home I tow.
Fantastic and easy up down.

Billy is the owner, great person to work with.
I had brakes put on and he added LED lighting really nice and bright inside.

This looks like one of the easiest setups I've seen. Thanks.

It truly is.
And I love the lid being the floor when open. Your up off the ground no wet feet or soggy ground to slosh in.
We have used ours on several trips. All over New England 2 years ago. To Montana and back last year. Alas, this year nothing. Getting ready to retire in December so want to keep my vacation and sell back for a little extra cash.

This would be great if tongue weight was less.
