If I remember right, there IS. Is there a small dial at the front of the clutch handle. I think it adjusts the handle forward/back. Or, maybe it's just for adjusting for big/small hands and doesn't affect the pull distance...?

You can as far as reach and travel but regardless of the position you choose you can still pull the handle all the way to the grip. I like it all the way out so it is a minimum pull to operate and once out of first don't use it at all except for downshifting...

how many miles on your cycle ? is it really easy too pull the clutch lever to the bar grip ? ( wondering if your inner clutch is getting worn ) you should have some resistance with just a little pull on the clutch and should , I think , be able too change gears at a little passed the half way point of no pull too grip position ( check the fluid in the reservoir see if it is low might need to drain the fluid and put new fluid in --- good old you tube give you an idea ) I might be wrong , just something that might be going on ...

... about the clutch handle travel. I now have some things to check on and I will do that. I am heading to our CMA (Christian Motorcyclists Association) Indiana State Rally on Thursday and I'm getting the byke ready for the (short) trip.

So you shift your manual shift like the semi-auto and have no problems? Or have I misunderstood?

You can with any wet clutch motorcycle transmission. Preload the shift lever near the rpm where you normally shift up, roll off the throttle a bit, and upshift with the toe. Do it right and it's smooth and fast. Downshifting is also possible but way harder to get it right.

NO, you should NOT try to adjust anything just because of that.

It is perfectly normal for the clutch lever to hit the hand grip.

If anything, this just means that the grip material is getting old.

If you must do something, clean off the back of the lever and then don't worry about it.

Question: When is the last time you changed the fluid in that system?

It requires periodic servicing...
