Default Intermittent Headlights Issue last night

I have read on this post of issues with headlights staying on due to moisture problems, but last night while out riding with the wife, my spyders headlights would not come on. I think they were on before we had stopped at the store, but when I turned the bike back on I noticed I had no headlights. What is strange is I could turn the key on, get headlights, but when I started the bike, then no headlights. After about the 3rd on/off with starting the bike the headlights did finally come on.

Does anyone know why this would happen and should I change out some relay or something like that??

Yes it is a bad headlight relay I had mine do the same thing until I replaced the relay.

Actually, I opened the old relay up and found the relay was closing but the contacts were dirty and pitted. I cleaned the contact points and everything worked OK.

I replaced the relay when I had a chance and since then I have had no more problems.

PS... I have to wait a week for that relay to come in, can't find it at the auto parts store and the dealer is out of stock on them.

Are the relays something specific from BRP, or can they be obtained elsewhere?

Ahh, thanks Docdoru, probably a lot cheaper than the dealer too!
I will try that part # with the autoparts store and cancel my order at the dealer.

On another note, when are we going riding Docdoru?

I find it comical that "Blinc" has an "intermittent headlight issue".

Probably not so funny in the dark though...
