Is the only Cat bypass benefit heat reduction??
Is the only benefit of a cat bypass the reduction of heat........................ and maybe a few pounds...... especially in my wallet......

Is there any performance increase in torque or hp?😳

I've never seen a Dyno-test; to prove or disprove anything.

I love the change. It sounds a bit throatier, but not that much louder. Not even close to any V twin. I have the stock RT Limited muffler.
I would guess that dyno tests don't show much, but I could feel the difference in the range of my needed shifting.
Plus... you wouldn't believe how heavy that secondary muffler is. Glad to have that weight off. Probably feels faster now just by removing the weight!!!

I had mine on the v twin and while I did like the sound, it became a little raspy right at the rpm to shift. Wasn't really crazy about that. It did seem to pick up a little torque in the mid range but not a lot. And I didn't see that much heat reduction. Put the oem back on and installed a Two Bros pipe, Sounds Great!! That's what I was looking for. Deep and throaty!

I like the idea of the cat delete
my concern is what does it do to the warranty?

Threw the By-Pass out, brought the Cat in...
I put my Cat back on. Could not stand the NOISE any more. I definitely got my low end torque back. Taking off from a traffic light is now a fast RESPONSE. With the Cat-Bypass on it was a pig off the line. There was a definite LOSS of low end torque, no I did not add the baffle, the increase in noise was enough for me to take the By-Pass off.

I did not lose any low-end torque. I love the sound. The smell is the only thing that's a bit agitating.

That story sounds pretty fishy to me!
