Does anyone know anything about this?
This was posted today on Facebook by the group "The Spyder Xperience." I don't know anything other than what is posted below, but was concerned if this is in fact a problem. The post doesn't state the year of the F3 and as a newbie, I haven't got a clue......Anyone?
I did add a post requesting the years of the F3 that could be involved, but haven't gotten a response yet.
20746232_1180927365386969_6251612446146999954_o.jpgThis is a public service FYI post for our friends that own Spyder F3. The photo below is the results of approx 12k miles of normal driving. Its not the fan blades damaging the radiator. Its road grime (sand, pebbles, grass and rain) that come in the front of the bike and get between the fan and the radiator. The F3 design is the only Spyder (or car that I know of) that has the cooling fan on the FRONT of the radiator rather than behind it. The only real way to clean this area is a disassembly of the front trunk body work to remove the fan. You can clean some with a water hose from the outside but will not get it all.
We found out when Louise radiator sprung a leak from the damage. Others have over heated from the bent fins blocking air flow. Keep an eye on this one and post up if you have ideas on how we might keep it from happening.

Any info on the year of that F3?
Any way to private message that person and ask for more specific details?

Here's the thing....
It's all F3's...it seems to be the way it is set up. Don't know if the F3 has the same reverse fan when in traffic if so it is blowing debris in and sucking it back in.. may have to add that to the pre ryde check list...
