Default NMN Foot Rest Lower black cover ?

I am putting on the foot rests... The cut (hole) that is made in the lower black plastic... do you make the cut to accomodate the bolt head or for the bolt nut.... I can't figure out the right way.

When you put those brackets on, two of the screw holes that are used in mounting are currently covered by that plastic splash pan of the Spyder. When you put the bracket on you won't be able to re-install the splash pan because there will now be a bolt and nut in the way. You trim the splash pan just enough to allow it to fit around the bolt and nut. At least thats how I remember it. Its been a while since I've had that off the Spyder.

bjt is correct. I just put mine on last night. The notch doesn't necessarily have to be a perfect cut because it will be out of sight after installed.

I just left the splash pans off. Hopefully it will run cooler this summer.
