    Default Correct Laser Alignment

In order to have a laser alignment done correctly, each of these factors have to done.

After tire pressures are checked and adjusted, the belt tracking is checked and correctly aligned so that the rear wheel is trued to the frame. The handlebars are put in the straight ahead position and both front tires are trued to the bars and the rear wheel with a slight 1/4" toe-in. The steering angle sensor MUST be checked and zeroed with BUDS. If that is not done, and it is off, it will be easy to steer in one direction and hard to steer the other. The power assist system (DPS) must apply power evenly from center to both directions. The only way it can do this is for the sensor to be centered when going straight ahead.

    Don't think I've missed anything.

When you align belt belt tracking the rear axle is adjusted so that it is parallel to the shaft of the front sprocket. If the engine is not aligned so that the sprocket shaft is perpendicular to the frame the rear axle can't be trued to the frame. When we do the laser alignment we have to assume the engine was aligned to the frame correctly during the install at the manufacturer and the belt is then aligned to the engine.

    Default Laser Alignment

I had an alignment done at spyder fest in Maggie Valley NC. I now have a little of 5000 miles and noticed the front tires are scalloping on the outside of both tires. Went to my tire specialist and they concluded that this may be due to in inability to rotate the tires properly. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this tire ware?

You forgot about zeroing the DPS torque sensor.

I had mine done at the dealer and he said, "It was spot on". . . very suspicious to me. But, they have a Rolo and they said it was calibrated within the month. (I think they should have lied and told me they adjusted it)
