Bob, something you might want to ask your dealer when you pick it up. I don't know if this is still relevant but when we used to have 5th wheels, we got a pressure reduction attachment to place in line with our fresh water supply hose. Some "camp grounds" provided fresh water that was way too high in pressure for the capabilities of the plumbing systems of some RVs. There was a risk of damaging the plumbing in our 5th wheels that we owned. Maybe this is no longer relevant but worth asking anyway.

Good luck, Bob, with your travels. Based on this Nostradamas prediction, times running out, and we are headed for disaster.

The rig has an in-house filtration system: should it be augmented with an additional in-line filter, that is mounted at the spigot?

I always learned to use something like this:

But when I owned a small RV, I never drank out of the tank water anyway, just used it for toilet flush and shower. I carried 6 gal carboys of drinking water, also plastic water bottles. To each his own though.

We always used a filter at the spigot but we also used what HankD shows below. I guess we were double cautious. Others may have a different opinion.

Bob, get a RV surge guard. Many a RV inverter/converter, appliance, ECT has been fried do to a faulty electrical pedestal. Cheap insurance. Not sure if your rig is 50 or 30 amp, but dog bone adapters are a must.
Some CG's have 30 and 50 amp sites, and having a good quality adapter important. Also grab one to reduce your RV plug down to a standard 15 amp household plug for when your home unless you plan on having a RV plug wired up.
won't be able to run the A.C., but you'll have lights, TV and other low draw stuff.

and don't leave it plugged in 24/7 at home no mater what they tell you the inverter/chargers they use will boil your coach battery's in time

What a flood of great tips.
if your hooked up to external water ( city, camp grounds), don't leave it connected at bed time or when your out. The pressure switch could break and you can have a flood.
don't ask how I know both times

By the time you have all of these recommended accessories you will need the optional upgrade to a Caterpillar V-20 turbo diesel engine to pull it all.

That V-10 gas engine has the beans to pull a 26,000 pound Class-A rig: mine won't even make it break into a decent sweat.

I want to see some pics of the Spyder inside the garage. And a series of pics as you put it in there. I'm interested about the ramp length/angle.

I guess I am getting blind in my old age but I don't see any mention of what make and model you bought. I am very excited about your purchase. Cynthia and I are looking at a new trailer. Our 30 footer was too big for her so we are looking at something smaller about 22 feet.
