That would be the horriblest thing to ever happen!
Thank goodness mine is pretty agreeable. If the Spyder is loaded for the trip: she's sure to want to come along!

They're no longer in the line-up...
And at almost a quarter of a million dollars each (for the current ones!): I'd need to win a REALLY big lottery!

They're also way too large for us to try and drive. I really don't need anything that's built on a Freightliner chassis.

Not hearing from Bob could be a good thing-
he's out driving it with a big **** eating grin on his face,

    Or a bad thing-
He's back at the stealership with his hands around the salesman's throat telling him the cabinets fell off....

It is legal to count your RV or boat as a second home (it has to have cooking and sanitary facilities) and deduct mortgage interest on your income tax return just as you would your home.

I am also thinking you can claim mortgage interest on only ONE mortgage. Same thing for snowbirders--which state are you claiming as residence--re-home taxes and license plates.

We run into that with Permanent fund dividends. People that are not permanent residents can get into a heap of trouble. The Alaskan Bush people got into a lot of trouble on that one. Turns out they are NOT AK residents and live elsewhere in the off season.

I'll get you all some pictures: I promise!
But Friday evening we were picking apples in our tiny 4 tree orchard, and I took a nine-foot backwards fall off of a ladder...
As near as I can tell: I smacked down hard over just at the base of my right shoulder blade. My head didn't make any dents in the rocks, so I think that it never did anything to break my fall...

So I feel like crap, and I think that I've got a busted rib or two (No emergency yet...) I'm sort of taking it day by day with the pain.

But we DID set up for some driveway camping!

Well, crap Bob .... that just plain sucks! Hope you are wrong on the broken ribs (bruised is not good either, but might heal quicker). Take care of yourself and we will all wait (somewhat impatiently for some of us) for pictures.

    All the best .... Ann

Gee Bob, a apple a day is supposed to keep the doctor away.... Seriously, hope you feel better soon, and there's nothing broken.

Best way to learn your rig is to driveway camp.
Supplies you never thought of are only a short walk away, and it's not as embarrassing trying to figure something out when your in your own driveway.

I can attest that it just isnt as easy to recover from a fall or sprained or confused body part like it was when we were younge. Glad it wasn't any worse....

Anyone considering claiming more than one mortgage interest should verify this with their tax advisor but it was legal not too long ago. I believe the federal limitation was two homes at that time. States with income taxes might differ.

As for snowbirds, AZ pro-rates your income tax based upon the amount of time you spend here (partial year residents). This assumes you have taxable income in AZ. Other states may do things differently.

License plates are issued for one or two years (or permanently in case of trailers) but there are no exceptions for partial year residents. If their primary home is in another state they are allowed to keep those plates.
