Indian trike
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I kind of like the steam-punk look of it , kind of retro looking.

Fugly! The proportions are all wrong. Tiny panniers, huge nose with a giant cowl, fender skirts that are accompanied by modern chrome wheels. I like steam punk just fine, but this is like a parody of steam punk, with a little Donk thrown in.

A couple of you caught that this was a build in a contest on doing something with the Scout. The builder of this one is from Wayne N. J.
I have to say that I kind of like it. It's a start for all of us who have wanted a reverse trike from a major builder. If, and when it happens, it is going to be interesting.
To late for this guy who still owns two Spyders and one two wheeler.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)
MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles
IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.

I think the front end is too long, or something. But I like the front fender style.

There's lots of cool, awesome Scouts built by dealers in this contest.

Maybe BRP should run a similar contest among Spyder dealers?

Couldn't agree more. I've gotta think that a purpose built frame and suspension is going to handle better than a front suspension grafted onto an existing two wheel frame. That said, I'm glad to see a major manufacturer experimenting with a reverse trike.

It was. Wayne, NJ dealer built this for the 2016 custom Scout competition run by Indian Motorcycle Company. This bike didn't win, for some strange reason! Therefore, it wasn't a factory idea or attempt to develop a trike.

Different strokes for different folks - not for me. Interesting, but NOT intriguing to me.
Thanks for sharing the original post though.

AND, by the way, this will not happen on auto pilot.

Spyder #1 - 2008 GS SM5 Premier Edition #1977. RIP after 80,000 miles.
Spyder #2 - 2012 RT SM5. Traded in after 24,000 miles.
Spyder #3 - 2015 F3 SM6. Put 13,000 miles on and sold it.
Spyder #4 - 2017 F3 SM6. Too good of a deal to pass up!

it's good it's only a styling exercise. I've never seen an ugly bike but this comes darn close to me.
I really can't imagine Indian producing something like that.
The good thing is that it is sparking conversation about reverse trikes.
I am of the opinion that we will see more reverse trikes and better ones than the current crop built as ad-ons to existing bikes.
Can only be better for any who want one.
