This was nice John, but I thought I was going to see a video of some big breasted women.

We had a whale incident here in AK recently. A whale swam 50 miles up river--where whales have not been seen before--the natives promptly took their boats, guns, and spears and dispatched the whale. The news showed them skinning it out, and cutting up the blubber for all. People were taking the whale meat home in plastic bags on four wheelers.

Of course, the DNR had to mention that the whale was not supposed to be hunted because they had not given the villagers permission.

The jury remains out. The deed has been done.

    Awesome story.

I'm sure their ancestors saw it plenty. If it was Their land they can do what they want. Just my .02

The native explanation is that any animal that "presents" itself is considered a "gift." I sure do not have any problem with harvesting one whale. It sounds like it is going to help feed the whole village. EDIT: 20,000 pounds of meat was distributed to the village.

The story I read said that Pacific Grey Whale is a protected species and hunting is never allowed by anyone.
