Default MINI LITHIUM ION BATTERY JUMP STARTERS

I have a weak battery and have decided that getting one of the above is a really good idea ( until mine cr*ps out completely ). So in my extensive search I found one " Stanley " brand for $45.00 delivered. It has about the same specs as all the others out there ( except less money ). I like the fact that it has a cig lighter plug to use for jumping ( the less expensive ones use alligator clamps ). The model # is P2G7S , no air compressor but has usb ports and wires for that ...... Does anyone else here have this one ???? .... I don't want to spend any more money for something that I may never use ......... Thanks......However if you have one you like..... that is less expensive I'm interested ..... Mike

I have one, not the brand you mentioned. Mine uses alligator clamps to jump and has several other ports to power other devices. I'd be concerned the cigarette outlet would handle the amperage required to jump a vehicle. I bought mine on a Black Friday sale from Home Depot. I don't remember the exact price, but think it was around $50. Haven't used it yet to jump anything, but I did have to return it because after a few months it wouldn't take a charge. The mfgr said it needed to be charged every couple of months or it would die. I'll check the garage later and see what the brand is.

On Amazon, not real good ratings. https://www.amazon.com/STANLEY-P2G7S...r&pageNumber=1

I know, not pros and many might have used it incorrectly.

Good luck to ya & fyi if you mean this:image.jpg Fyi I had 1 & first thing after charging the unit find a good 1"flat washer or something to tape over that big button on front! Is all to ez to get pushed & drain the unit power
Is a bit larger than I liked too, I returned mine & tried 1 from Pilot image.jpg
But it would not charge (off on warranty now)I'm looking to get the rugged geek from Lamont I managed to already get the air pack. (Fyi the air pack fits nicely in the same pouch with the lighting jump pack & all the connections/cords for both)

It's not a jump starter, it's a booster, and can take up to a half hour before your battery has enough juice to start. Most new cars have cigarette outlets rated at 15 amps. If it was a jump starter, then you are correct about not using the cigarette outlet. At least that's what I got out of the instructions.

Also, like was mentioned, it does not have very good reviews.

What is the rear power port fuse; 5 amps??
I don't think that plugging it in there would be a wise thing to do.
(I got mine from Lamont, and it works GREAT! )

I was going to tell you about mine but it cost $89. I"ll tell you anyway because it has different options for connecting it besides the alligator clips and you can also charge your computer and phone with it. It is the Micro-Start XP1

Question, I have a jumper unit. I also have a battery tender plug in the frunk. The tender came with an accessory that connects to the tender plug with alligator clips. Have you ever attached the alligator clips together to jump start? That way, I do not have to disassemble the battery compartment to plug the jumper clips directly to the battery (assuming I had the proper tool with me).

People I ride with are not happy with most of these.
Very weak. Probably the only one that will start you if your battery is completely dead.

Like Grandpa said: "You get what you pay for". There is always a reason something is cheap. Just think about that!

Only word of warning..... Watch out for no name brands from China. They lie about the battery capacity and discharge rating.
