I have had an Airhawk for 4 years. I always leave it on. Never had a problem.

Who wants a half deflated pad covered with butt sweat? Besides it has straps that go under the seat.

Airhawk: most of the time I just left it in place. Parking in congested, crime ridden downtown--put it in the frunk.

I leave mine on too, no problems. When I leave my bike for a long period, I take my Radar detector, helmet and GPS and lock it up in the frunk, but not my Airhawk.

    Default I Leave It On.

My Airhawk straps are run under the seat so it isn't convenient to remove. If a thief wants it, he'll have to cut the straps.

I generally stow mine. I don't use the straps and I've had it blown off by wind gusts.

When you put it THAT way...

We just put our Misty Mountain Sheepskin Seat Cover over it, and the problem was resolved!

I've been on a LOT of bike forums for a LOT of years and don't remember ever seeing a report of a seat cushion being stolen.

I sometimes leave my Airhawk, helmet, GPS and jacket on my bike without any lock. I have never had anything stolen. When I arrive I lQQk around and if the local population seems unfriendly I lock up everything.

Not to hijack the thread, but a Kradellock, http://www.kradellock.com/, is a great way to save the GPS storage hassle during the day. I still bring mine in at night when travelling.

    Amen!
The Kradellock is easy to install, and locks the GPS safely into place!

Had my Airhawk for three years and to a couple of rallies and never remove it. Have never had any problems with anyone messing with my Spyder other than really looking it over.
