    Default SPYDER FRIENDS

I want to thank BlueKnight on this forum because I think he is a remarkable part of our Spyder family. I had purchased LED lights (head light and fog light) and Mike offered to install them for me. Everything went smoothly until the fog light installation. He had a heck of a time replacing the cover to the fog light assembly on the left side. I have never met a person with the patience and perseverance to succeed. Their were no installation directions on video but did find where other ryders had committed on installation. They all ran into the same problem on the left side and their input certainly helped. He would not quit until it was finished. Thanks again Mike, you are a true friend.

Default HEADLIGHT LED'S + FOG LIGHTS

Thank you Phyllis for the kind words . I appreciate them. Things were going OK until it came time to put that left side Fog light cover back on ... I think it took an hour..... But as you mentioned , I don't give up easily ...... Now the BIG question is ...... How do you like the LED lights ????? ...... Mike

I love my new LED lights. Went out that evening until 10:00 to check them out. They are amazing. The dim setting is about the same as the high setting before the change out. Also the light showing on the side of the road was great. Hopefully I will see deer sooner. If anyone enjoys night riding, this is the way to go.

    Default Ah Ha

I feel your pain, I just install LED Foglights and that left cover can make one drink and cuss way more than they should.

As I'm considering this in the future, Does removing the Frunk on an RT make installing the foglights easier? Which is harder installing that left cover with the frunk on, or removing the frunk then doing the upgrade.

Removing the front shock helps a bunch. We were installing shock adjusters for a customer who was also getting Headlights and Foglights and it occurred to me that it would save a bunch of time and pain to do the fogs while the shock was off.

If if you don't draw blood installing the Foglights you probably didn't do it right.

Way to go Mike! You're a great guy.

    Default REMOVING FRUNK FOR LED

YES, however removing the frunk is no bargain either..... when you try to re-connect the Air intake ELBOE - good luck .... I can actually re-move and then re-place my Frunk in about 15 min..... But I don't have to deal with the air intake anymore I threw it away ...... Seriously the issue with FOG lite cover is there is no extra space around the cover , in fact it's so tight on that side re-moval isn't easy either..... two problems to deal with #1 you can't see what you doing ( try threading a needle with your eyes closed )....#2. the TAB on the bottom of the cover has to go into the holder (?) perfectly , it's an EXACT fit and the air intake doesn't allow any wiggle room...... good luck ...... Mike
