Default FOUND A NEW USE FOR MY 2 GAL. GARDEN SPRAYER

This is the manual pump it yourself type after you put whatever in it .... not high pressure , but a decent spray if you pressure it to it's max ........ Now when I come back from a ride I put some car wash soap in it, plus warm water, and spray down the entire Spyder. I let it sit for awhile while I take a toothbrush to the wheels if they need it ...... then rub the bug spots off .... then rinse and dry with a Shammy ..... The soapy spray seems to break down the dirt and bugs a bit before I have to touch the really bad stuff....... Mike

Good idea. I got one of those Hurricane battery operated cleaning thingys. Going to try that on the rims the next time the spyders need a washing.

Like the idea of the "low pressure" wash. I have one of the big boys, but will not use it on the spyders.

    Default Great idea....

I have a syphon sprayer but one needs the whole compressor thing. For the average person your set up is great... e7b23a23-48eb-4c72-be5a-c0fdeb71d202_1.cac852ae2f2f289613796f925a51ec89.jpeg

This is exactly what I have ...... not any real pressure , but it does a decent job of coating the Spyder with a slippery substance ........... I just watched a 4 minute video from an Auto Detailing service about what people do wrong when washing their vehicles ...... if the folks here who think wrapping their wheels with towels to protect the Paint from scratches ever watched this video ..... they would never say it was a good idea again........ We will take a hot soapy towel and lay it over the windshield or front trunk to loosen up the bugs. I've got this nice little scrubber to get up in the hard to reach places on the wheels. But I use Merlin's Blood first on the wheels.

I'm reminded of a scene in the movie, K-9 with James Belushi. He had a companion police dog (Jerry Lee) who refused to be bathed. So with the dog in the passenger seat of his classic ragtop Mustang, he sent the car through a car wash with the top down. I wonder if anyone has ever contemplated trying to send their Spyder through the car wash? A car rolls over the the device that pulls the car through the car wash. Just as you'd roll a wheel of a Spyder over the same device. Of course, you'd not be with the bike as it rolled through.

I wonder what the point of this stunt was? Or if there was one.

I just run mine through the automatic car wash.
You get a little wet and beat up but your riding gear gets cleaned up also.
