    Default New F3S owner question

Good day all, i have a question for you.
With my manual and CD there were two 3M protection squares about 3 inch by 3 inch. What are they for.

Also new to the Spyder, been riding for 46 years. Must say the F3S is very comfortable. debating which gps mount I am going to use and which windshield.
I was wondering if anyone had pictures of the F4 windshield mount on the F3S. There sight doesn't really show a picture. The can am one looks good but you can't just buy the mount.
Life is hard, and it's harder if you're stupid!

and on your F3S. You might want to "click" on "Forum" and scroll down till you see "Spyder F3-Hotrod/Cruiser." Then "click" on that and it will take you to all sorts of posts/threads regarding this GREAT BIKE. This forum has anything and everything on the F3. One thread in particular addresses the many windshields available. Hope this helps.

I believe that the 3M squares are intended to be placed on the side of the Spyder where you likely will kick it when mounting/dismounting.

    Default 3m protector tape

I placed mine on the tubing frame where I have the foot boards so that I don't scuff or damage the paint with my shoes or boots.

you would love grip puppies for your hand grips.
I thought the 3x3 squares were for the gas tank to minimize rub damage from clothing or boot scuffs getting on and off the spyder. ???

on the new ryde!! I have the F3S Daytona and just LOVE it! I also heard that those squares go where you put your feet. I bought the blue ridge and it really wasn't high enough for me. Looking at maybe something from F4...

Get the 2 up occasional shock. You will be glad you did.

Anyone know why F4 does not make a vented shield for the F3S?

From memory, this was discussed quite a while ago, they were actually for placing on the panel where the passenger footpegs fold up, as when they are up they touch and rub on the panel. I just leave the pegs down, and used the squares on the tank until I got my Tank Graphics from Wrapmyspyder.

Just curious, is this THE Can-Am reason for these 3M squares??? It seems odd to me that there is nothing provided in the printed materials.

You don't need a vent, the bottom of the windshield is well clear of the bodywork. That's the venting. The Blue Ridge for BRC is the same way.

Those 3M squares are for the frame rails near your feet so that you dont scrape them up.

Default Dealer handed them to me and told me to install on the rails near where we

finally ascertained was the best foot peg position. Since the U-Fit allow several foot positions, you can wait until you're sure where the most effective place is to affix the 3M squares to protect the paint on the rails. That's the story I got and I'm sticking with it.

    Default F4 Customs

    Thanks for this question.
Due to the aerodynamic design the goldwing vent will not fit the curvature and there is not another option. The bottom of the shield has clearance between the body and the shield allowing some air to pass through.
