The Spyder models width varies somewhat, and they show it with an RS. I don't know how that compares to an F3 or RT.

    Default I dont think so

Watching the video, I don't think an RT will make it without ripping off the front end.

I occasionally ride with a person who owns a stinger trailer.
He tows his RT with it.
No issues loading or unloading spyder and it folds up out of the way when not using it.
He used the trailer to the RT from Ontario,Canada to Spyderfest in Springfield MO.he also used the trailer to go to Homecoming in QC.
    No problems at all.
seem to be very well made and seem that no additional ramps needed. I can visit factory to answer any questions as it is close to where i live just PM me.

Does the RS have more ground clearance than the RT? One way to get around that is to build some blocks that the front tires could ride over until the back tire is on the ramp and clearance is no longer an issue. I have seen others do that to load their Spyders on other types of trailers.

I do like the drop tail but it is about 800-1200 more depending on options. I also need to try and keep weight down as possible, because there was no plans to get a bigger vehicle to pull....Stinger was 495 lbs , drop tail was 644 pounds. Of course if money wasn't a factor, I would love the Ultimate trailer.

Seems a little pricey to me for what it is. Also, I'd be concerned about how solid the hinging aspect of it is. If there's no torsion or spring suspension on it I'd be leery.

I've been considering a Stinger trailer ($2599 delivered) for some time now because if I do buy a trailer I pretty much have to have a folding trailer which will store upright. I live in a gated deed restricted community where no RV or trailer storage of any kind is permitted . . pretty much eliminates anything that won't fit in my garage (along with two cars and the Spyder). Previous posts are correct in that the Stinger does not have any suspension, just a rigid axle (see pic). That, coupled with the fact that it takes two grown men to unfold the trailer due to it's weight has been a deal breaker for me . . so far. On the positive side, they are now powder-coated.

As for the "no suspension", Stinger says "the pneumatic characteristics of the 13" radial tires and the suspension of the Spyder itself provide for a safe smooth ride". Yea right !

Surely there's someone on this forum whose owned one of these trailers. I'd like to know how they tow and whether the "no suspension" aspect is a hinderance or does it even matter. I know that Aluma used to make a folding trike-trailer but it's not available anymore and I can't find any other folding trailers suitable for a Spyder (if you know of any, let me know). I should add that Kendon also makes a folding upright trailer for the Spyder but at $4199 it's cost prohibitive. As always, any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

Pretty nice looking little trailer and you could pull it with a small car, but dang, it cost me about the same thing to build my 16 foot equipment trailer and it will haul the tractor, the Spyder, and lots of other stuff (not all at the same time). If you do a lot of towing, it might pay to have a small trailer just for the Spyder, but the only time mine goes on a trailer is when it is broke down.

Only time the Spyder was ever on the trailer so far is the day I brought it home from the dealer.

Don't know about use for a spyder but I have used a stinger trailer for the past 10 years to tow my motorcycle. Apx 3,000 miles per year with no problems. Grease the bearings and go.

I would consider the one by Kendon, or Towblazer (generic version of the Kendon). I had one, and decided to sell it like a dummy. Now I wish I could find another.

I bought one of these and love it.

    https://apogeetrailers.com/

I consider the stinger but didn't go for it for a number of reasons:

    - It has a dedicated function. AS such it has little resale value / opportunity

    - It's steel as opposed to alu

    - It's cheaper but not cheap

The Apogee is all alu. You can tow other stuff with it. It's about 3 feet thick when folded. The width depends obviously on the trailer selected. I have the 5 X 10. The F3L fits within 2-3 inches. An RT would required a 6 X 10. I had to do something with the ramp to avoid scraping the nose of the F3L.

The trailer comes on a pallet when it's delivered.

DO you really need a second person to open and close the trailer ? Is there a work around like installing a hoist at the garage ceiling to lift it?

I us a single rail Stinger with my motorcycles. It tows with out any problems and handles elevated highway speeds. Mine hitches with a bolted pin not a coupler. Folding is a one person endeavour but you need to chock wheels when you unfold it. Keep bearing buddies greased and away you go, your bike is the suspension. Many thousands of miles of use.

I have a Stinger that I bought used. You pretty much need two people to lift / fold it. Some say it can be done alone but it's too heavy for one person, at least for me. I've solved the problem by chocking the wheels and using a Warn Pullzall to lift it. Works like a champ and takes only a few minutes to fold / unfold. This method would work for other folding trailers as well. I removed a ceiling vent in my garage, installed a large eye bolt across three rafters (beefed it all up really good) and it lifts with no problem. When finished, I reinstall the vent. Love the Stinger. Light weight and tows great.

Any one know if the Stinger trailer will fit a Spyder 20-21 RT?
