    Default Side wind deflectors

I am considering buying the Adjustable Side Wind Deflectors.

How well do they work at bringing air in? Mid day in Florida is really hot!

    Are they worth getting.

    Thanks in advance,

Are you talking about the Baker air wings? I have them on my Yamaha and love them. I'm considering them for my '14 RT-L.

It's a good company and well made product. You won't be disappointed.

they work but hot air is hot air. Now if you want more air movement then they will help.

BRP or Baker will work for you.

I have the adjustable lower air-deflectors from BRP.
They look great, tuck in nicely, and DO help direct the air where you want it.
Baker-Built's airwings will do a better job. They just look... awkward to me!
(But that is just my personal opinion! )

This is the setup I have on my RT Limited from delivery. The OEM "fixed" deflectors made no sense to me.

I'm "on the fence" about the BB airwings. I'm sure that they aid the driver; but we ride 2-up 95% of the time. Just not sure about their affect on the passenger unless you're going @freeway speeds. Considering going to the 3+ Tall/Wide F4 windshield to help my wife since she sits higher than me on the Spyder.

    Default Adjustable BRP side deflectors

I was a bit disappointed in the amount of air the BRP side deflectors move on me. They only seem to direct air on to your legs and I need some air up top. So I am looking into a vented windshield.

It sounds like you're more interested in blocking the wind rather than directing it onto yourself or passenger. Am I right? Not sure what you're trying to achieve with adjustable wings.

I can tell you that the vented windshield helps but you will not feel all the air that pushes thru the vent. It kinda tapers off about half way thru

I had the guys at Baker Built install air wings. Get these or some kind of wings - you'll be glad you did...

I have them and glad I did it. They push yes warm air but so far so good here in South Florida. I had them for my ryde south from mass. 1550 miles to Fl and I started the ryde in 50 deg weather and by the time i got to Va. I had them in the middle position in 80 to 90 deg Highway ryding. Right now are they not on sale from BRP?

Default BRP vs Baker Built - what's the diff?

I can't find them on sale. I also can't get much info about them from BRP website except they are pricey (no discount that I could see).

I'd like to compare them with Baker Built, feature by feature; does anyone have that info?

I just installed a set on my RTS. I found them on EBay for $130.00. I haven't rode much since the install to determine how well they work.

I've been on the fence for Bakers for a long time. I just don't know what color would look good on a cognac RTS.

I started with the BRP adjustable wings to try to get some heat relief here in Southern California. They do move some air, you can feel the difference, but it wasn't a whole bunch. We then got the Baker Air Wings:

Spyder RT New Gen. Air Wings w/Uppers
Item# SPYRTAWUPNG , Mounting Hardware: Black , Color of Wings: New Gen. Clear

.......... and that was a game changer. Everything is better with the Bakers. I'm more comfortable with the 50° riding in the mountains. I'm more comfortable with the 100° in the desert. I don't need to make near as many stops for "costume changes" as I can now go warmer or cooler simply by reaching down and adjusting the air flow. And yes, the BRP adjustable wings together with the Baker do make even more of a difference. I would probably say that for the overall difference of wind management, the Baker wings contribute about 75% and the BRP about 25% of the change.

We went with the clear wings. After having them on for a year or so I don't even notice them visually anymore. I'm much more interested in how comfortable I am than in how I look. Just ask my wife.

the Baker Built Air Wings will help the passenger as much if not more than the driver. Don't take our word for it ask around and you will see what others think. They might not like the looks but i have not heard any complaints on how they work. We do offer 30 day money back guarantee try em and see what they do.

Here is our bike at the shop we have shown with Chrome Scratch Resistant Dark Tint (the best seller and looks good too) or we have them shown in Black Hardware Orange deflectors. We do offer them in our full list of colors but just thought i would help you so you could see what they looked like on your bike. Whether you are trying to deflect the wind and rain away or direct some cool air onto you, you will not regret in purchasing Baker Built Air Wings.
