I happen to use the phrase frequently. I am an EMT, a firefighter, I have two college degrees, and I play two musical instruments. Apparently the use of one phrase makes me ignorant? One thing I have learned along the way is that if you judge people you will most often be incorrect in your assessment.

They come they go....many folks are associated with these little ditties. Some linger some last forever it is only when everyone uses them constantly that they can get annoying. Unfortunately they are not always used appropriately which helps make them go away. Seldom use them but don't have a problem if others do if they hang on to them too long it does make one wonder if they need to expand their vocabulary....
