Last week I had a check engine dance across my screen----so I shut her down and checked all fluids.
Nutin honey all is normal.
So Ted's in Alto Ill had an open house and when I was talking with Pat about the problem with the check engine ---- if I shut her down and started again it would clear the dance across my dash.
They took it back into the closed shop and checked it out.
Faulty sending unit----ordered up a half dozen so they would have them in stock.
So needless to say they are high on my list of people to deal with.

This is a very common glitch in the Spyder. I had this happen the first weekend I owned mine, and when it went in for its first service, the tech guy cleared the fault code. The same thing happened a week ago when I rode to Niagara Falls, and I didn't worry about it. After stopping and restarting, the check engine message disappeared. I know of at least one other Spyder owner who has had the same experience.

I had this problem 5 months ago. Lasted about a week. I looked in the owner's manual and it stated to turn ignition off. When I would restart the Spyder, it was gone. Have not had it since. Jerry

Mine was doing the same thing. Every time I started the bike and drove it about 1/2 mile and the check engine light would come on. I got tired of stopping and turning the engine off then on. After a while I would just pull clutch do the on off and let go of the clutch. I had it checked out and was told it was the co2 sensor. Witch they had to order. So this week it goes in.

Mine did it once a few months after I got it. Shut it off, turned it on and no problems since (knock on wood). Took it to the dealer and he couldn't find anything.
