    Default Replacing Front tires 14"

OK spyder people. I have been searching tire talk here for a couple of weeks now, and I see all the tire replacements for the 15" size.

I have a 2012 RTS with 14" tires and there are VERY little options that I can find. I have bought (not yet installed) Yokohama S Drive 205/55/15 for the back and they do carry a 14" but the size is 185/55/14.

I want a Ultra High Performance Summer tire but will a 185 fit under the fender???

Are there any other options for a Ultra High Performance Summer 14" tire???

    Inquiring minds want to know!!!!!

Ultra High Performance Summer 14" tires are hard to find if at all I have 175 60 14 Hankook Optima on my 11 and it is a tight fit but works, I have seen that some have bought the 185 and it would not fit, Some have said that with some 175s they had to put spacers on the fender mount to get the 175s to clear,
Brand to brand and the same size they seam to measure differently

A lot of folks have used Bridgestone's Potenza in the OEM sizing...

When I had my GS/RS with the 14" front wheels I used a General Altimax and liked it very well.

I put 185/55-15 Toyo T1R tires on my 2014 RT that had the old style fenders I did have to use washers but they did fit...... now I know you are looking for 14 so the Toyo won't work but I believe the concept will........ Mike

I am using 175/65R14 Hankook Optimo 4S on two different 2012 RT Limiteds and they work good,a little snug getting by the fender but work great
    with no modifications.

Lots of good information thanks to every one who replied. I will do more internet home work before I decide on a tire.

That is exactly what I'm running now.
Yes they fit, but it does take a little custom fitting.
My front fenders were basicly shimed up to allow a little more clearance.
I'm also running RT wheels which has a little different offset which also
    required some fender adjustment.
    These tires are awesome!tires.jpg

    Default Yokohama S Drive

Well that's it folks. Now that I know the S drive will fit with a bit of adjustment of the fender makes this a good contender to choose.

    Thanks for the info.
