Rear shock air pressure

So I have looked thru the owners manual for a chart or some info for how much air should be in the rear shock. I have a 2016 F3T and I go about 230 lbs. I am a solo riders since my wife has a 2010 RTS. Am I missing the info in the book?

don't go over 70 lbs.

you might want to try 35 as a starter, don't use a high pressure inflator.

I have seen it somewhere, but can't remember where, Dave.....I will try to hit my "total recall" button, but in the meantime, Cruzr Joe's advice is pretty spot on. I run at 50psi for my 310 lbs and it works well for me.

I have F3 Limited 2016 Triple Black series.

remove the passenger seat and look for sticker near air valve. or go to page 51 of your manual
according to manual you need to put about 40psi in the air shock.
I run my rear shock at about 38psi.

Thanks for the info. I will look again at page 51. The sticker near the valve for the shock is not making any sense to me, but that's not saying much in my case. I probably won't be riding much for a couple of weeks. I got kicked in the knee by a cow at the farm ( oldest son and family are on it. My wife grew up there.) The cow was probably mad that I sold my Kaw(asaki) and went to the Syder.

Those air bags are really fussy! I run mine about 55psi (2up). I purchased one of those little air pumps from LaMonster and I run it up to 60psi cause by the time I get the air pump off I have lost about 5 psi. I also just trust it is correct cause it seems if I check it it loses air.

Just use the pump to check the air, I-Day, rather than a gauge. That way if it does need air you can pop it straight in......better yet, get FOBO...

Great, I-Day! Have you had them on long enough to work out how much psi you lose in a fortnight or so?

2016 F3 Limited here. How much do these leave the factory with pressurewise? Seems ok riding solo but with the wife it bottoms out every once in a while. Its in the shop getting an alignment done or i would just go check myself.
Just curious as to how much i should add for roughly 350 lbs of riders

Those of you with the ACS are getting hung up on air pressures...
Once you find the ACS setting that gives you the best ride (comfort, handling, and load capacity taken into account): just leave things alone, and it'll happily take care of itself.

There is a label under the seat of my 2014 RT that shows settings based on rider and passenger weights. That might help.

For an F3T the manual and sticker under passenger seat say 10psi min. - 70psi max. Also gives psi recommendations for weight. At 250LBS, I like to run at 15psi for one up and 60-70 psi for 2 up and more.

Never run less than 10psi.

I don't know all the features of the various models, so I will have to ask: the O/P has a 2016 F3T. Does that have ACS?

I am guessing it doesn't, because a lot of the responders have F3s or F3Ts in their signatures or say what pressures they use.
