Question I have a question, I kept my bike in a heated garage for the winter.

I cranked it up recently and it smoked like crazy!! Please tell me this is normal?

Probably nothing to worry about if the engine was fine when you stored it.

How long was it stored? Was it stored with fresh or old oil? Did you put preservative in the fuel? Was it ethanol or straight gasoline?

The smoke should have cleared up fairly quickly and not come back. If it was white vapor that means coolant in the combustion chamber. That would not be good.

    Default Well....

It's not normal but depends. What color and odor..? Did some critters build a nest in the pipe..? Etc...

    Yes more details are needed.
Might just be water vapor from the cold exhaust components.

Probably nothing to worry about unless it keeps doing it or other unusual symptoms appear.

One common cause of this is putting WAY too much stabilizer in your gas.

    Default 2014 Spyder ST smoking!

It was fine when I put it up. I use Premium gas, had its first oil chg. In last summer. I believe the color was grayish but smelt real rich in a strong way. Haven't started it since. Maybe I will today! ! Thanks

the next start up should be better & dont just crank it & let it idle, put some miles on it
(if you feel its safe enough) help run it like its made to be.

The bike needs to be run up to full operating temperature, and kept there for the time it takes to complete a nice, long ride.

Do that a couple of times to complete several "heat soaks", and then tell us what the bike is doing.
