Zumo 590 Brightness
Has anyone had issues with the Zumo 590 LM brightness? I have mine set to 100% and power from the F3 but the display sure looks washed out when riding. I have a hood over the display but it does not help much. I called Garmin but they said they have no issues with the display?

The biggest reason the gps is hard to see is the color of your riding jacket. Black it will likely be fine. Bright yellow it's going to suck.

I noticed how washed out the display is on the Zumo 590. I have a Garmin Zumo 550 on my other bike. What a difference!!! The 550 is much brighter and not washed out.

Definitely wear black when viewing the Zumo!

My 590 display is set at 100% and I frankly have never given much of a thought about whether or not it's washed out. If it's because of my dayglo yellow jackets, so be it. I prefer the visibility of my carcass to cage drivers over the brightness of my GPS screen. YMMV.

I've found the same. Also the 660 is brighter.
To be honest, had I known about this from the get-go, I would never have "upgraded" to the 590, and kept my 660.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.
