    Default HAPPY DAYS

Guys how did you feel when you sold the car you loved . I have owned a 2005 dodge magnum with a hemi. I have owned this car for 12 years. the car has been great and I wish they had continue to make this car. The only issue I had with it was I did not tow very well. and now sense I retired I want to travel more and bring the RT along. So today my friends I am trading in my beloved Silver Bullet for a GMC sierra . I only hope it lasts and gives me the same type of service the Dodge did or better. I am going to miss this car. This is the third car I have owned that I feel terrible about selling. The first one was a 74 LTD the second one was my 1994 Impala SS . This car was signed by john MOSS and was numbered 123. As you can see I love full framed American iron. Enough of the tears, time to move on. hello truck world.

Of all the vehicles that I've sold over the years: there's been very few that I didn't miss...
But it passes, and a new one comes along that you also love...

But take lots of pictures of it!!

I know how you feel. I have owned a load of vehicles during my 32 years of driving, but the one that I have owned for the longest, and become attached to is my 2002 ford lightning. SVT did a great job on their 2nd. generation and should do something along the sport truck line again. In 2004 when they stopped making them, it was rummored that there would be another coming in 2006 (the adrenaline), but they only came out with an anemic ford explorer sport trac. Then when svt finally did something again, it was in the form of a raptor. I don't off road, and I don't want a huge truck, but I do want a truck. So, at 73,000 miles, I guess I will continue to drive my little old pickup until it one day gives up the ghost. Then I will do a heart transplant and continue to drive it. Nothing like showing a "so called sports car" who is boss.

Why not keep it I find the magnum a fun car as you don't see many Wagons out there anymore that has a Hemi in it

Over the last week I have taken a few pics. I am heading up to Poughkeepsie ny in one hour to pick up my new ride. I when I sold my Impala, I was down for about a month. could not let it go. The magnum has been a great ride. I have owned so many cars but this one had the look and feel.

    Default Ahhhh....

we do get attatched to our toys...it is sad when we can't keep them all. I do find if you do that in many cases they slowly get left aside and found it better to let them go so they can still be enjoyed by someone full time...

Yes,I do understand. I own a 1985 Grand touring sport coup SEC500 Mercedes Benz I bought new. It has a little over 60,000 miles since new. It is never driven in the winter and ALWAYS garaged. Needless to say I do not get that much seat time but when I do I sure enjoy it. It now has a classic licence so only cost $11.00 and change per month for licence and basic insurance but it does take up garage space I could use for other toys.

The only car I ever missed was my 1970 Dodge Challenger, 440 six pack, with pistol grip shifter. It was totaled in 1971.

I've had a bunch of great, and some not so great, cars and trucks over the yrs, but when it was time to go, they were gone with a smile.
Just picked up my new truck last week. 2017, Ram 3500 SRW with the 6.4 HEMI. Liked my first one so much, I got another one.

Some of the Laramie longhorn edition with the high output Cummins diesel sticker for over 80k.
The MH toy hauler will set him back another 80k +. Class A's can fetch $200 +.

I have had a lot of cars and motorcycles over the years. Can't think of a single car that I had sellers remorse over. The newer (for the time) seems to kick in, and I am good.

The only motorcycle I regret selling was my last. A 900cc Vulcan LTD. That one fit me like a glove and never gave me any trouble.

Now, if I could just get that Indian Roadmaster in Crème/Green...

    Hi akspyderman,

Re: Can't think of a single car that I had sellers remorse over.

Our differences are what make us unique; and that is a good thing.

I had a '32 Ford 5-window coupe my senior year of high school. Of all of the cars I've owned, that is the one that I should have kept.

I only miss two cars and 1 bike. 1948 Chev. convertible with a 301 Jimmy in it and a 1968 RoadRunner I bought new just before Christmas in 1967. The bike, a 1969 Norton Fastback Commando bought new in Jan 1970.

    Default I am back.

Wow I see a lot of posts. well today was an emotional one, I took a few pics of the magnum and one side by side of the truck. while the salesman was doing paper work I went back out side and sat in the car. I closed my eyes and it felt good. I have noting bad to say about the Dodge. If I had the space I would keep it. The new baby is very nice and I cant believe how quiet this thing is. This may change my mind a bit on towing to events..

That El-Camino would be a fun project as long as it is mostly rust free
