Watched that this morning. We are forecast to get 4-8" here Friday and we have about 6" on the ground now. Still riding sleds a bit although another week or so and it will be over. Then I'll have to wait for mud season to end so I can get the Spyder out.

One thing I don't understand. How can BRP/Rotax be on the cutting edge of 2-stroke sled engine technology and be no where near cutting edge 4-stroke technology on their sleds or Spyders or wheelers or any of their vehicles really.

Winter needs to leave now! They are forecasting " 5 - 12 inches of (snow) White Fungus. I still have snow on the ground. It is end of March. When will winter end. I have had enough snow. Time for Spring, and season to start. Deanna

Default Glad we are just getting rain

Got my '17 on Jan 24. Got over 1500 miles on it. Rain is killing me right now. Glad we don't have any snow.

Snow or not we're done sledding.
Rob, I feel Ski Doo has done well with their 4 stroke technology. Also feel that over all they've done well with the Spyders.

Could be a whole lot worse. Could be us here in west central Missouri getting snow. We are getting rain that we really need. Got over 1500 miles logged since the end of January so I can't complain.

Lynx has been around for MANY years, and is part of BRP. It's just not sold here in North America.

    Thumbs up 707 inches

That is just under 59 FEET of snow fall this year. Little Mt. Rose/Ski Tahoe has the most recorded snowfall is the US. AND----- a record amount since record keeping began there.
All the snow is gone from around my house but not so just a 1000 feet above my elevation. Some of the local desert lakes in the vicinity are due to flood come the spring melt( if it ever happens).

As a small storm blew through yesterday---- I'm off to ski ( actually a bit of racing) today.

    Kaos
    Kaos----- Gone but not forgotten.

We had 59 inches of snow; that's almost 50% more than an average year...

well considering i haven't started it in like 2 years, its dead as in tried rolling it down the big hill I live on to start it only to have 3 of my neighbors help me push it back to the house. not really sure why this marriage ended but just prefer my 2 wheels.

I however was given a ultimatum by the boss to either sell it or start it up and start using it. I figure I am not going to get anything for it with 70k miles on it so its best i get it serviced and use it. last time i rode it 2 years ago, i came home and it looked like brake fluid all over the garage, its been idle ever since. I knew i had to get it serviced when my house cleaner started using the spyder to dry the dogs sleeping pads on it.

    HeyMarkku,

Curious. Do the Lynx also have the option to run the 4-stroke 600 ACE, 900 ACE and 1200 engines or are they only offered with the 2-stroke E-TEC?

Anyone who knows Toni has to know Lynx https://www.snowmobilehalloffame.com...toni-haikonen/

    Hello

Yes Lynx is able to use all Rotax engine models.Lynx is quite old manufacturer of Snowmobiles, the first snowmobile has been made in 1968.In the year 1993 the factory has been sold to BRP.I believe That the Rovaniemi factory prepares utility snowmobile frames to the Canada snowmobile factory.I myself have had three Ski Doo and two Lynx sport snowmobiles.
