It's just like releasing the seat-lock; only you turn the key in the other direction...

You need something stiff & thin 16 inches long....... a couple of wood blocks 1 inch square put them in socks ..... start on the right side ( as you are sitting on it ) but your not ..... you want to lift up the corner of the frunk as high as you dare and put a block in there to keep it up ...... get the blk plastic cover off or at least up and put another block in there if you can or something that will hold it up ....... have a strong flashlite and shine it in so you can see the latch mechanism in the middle of the FRUNK ...... at the back of it is a release lever ..... push it with your stick or rod or whatever that is 16 inches long ....... the latch will open ....... I did this for Deanna777 ( lady above ) when her Cable broke....... Mike

    Default LOcked frunk

I sprayed oil on mine when it did that on my 2012 rts . Push lid back down and let it set for awhile and it was ok then . Now i spray it with oil every few months.

    Default Trunk not opening

The rod trick work perfectly but instead of pushing it I had to pull on the liver from everything else I've looked at mine is a little different but thanks to all your help I have it open now. Looks like it's going back to the dealer the problem is the solenoid does not hit the letter correctly therefore not pushing it far enough to open the trunk.i bought a extended warranty, its a 2012 so factory warranty was up.
Spyder only had 724 miles on it,still under 1000 only owned it since Saturday

I was shown how to get into any RT or RTS frunk, trunk, and bags with out a key. I was told it was a secret and not to tell anyone how to do it unless there was real need. Good luck, hope it works for you.

You pulled up on the lid; while a friend worked the key and/or button?
Pushing down on the lid will sometimes take the tension off of it, and allow it to unlatch..
