    Default Yikes...!!

Last time I looked in google used motorcycle part they found me one in florida. They are connected with all used parts dealers nationwide. May take a day or two for them to get back to you...

    Default Wrecked Aprilla

Finding a wadded up Aprilla with a good motor might be easier. The benefit is better cams and heads=more power! Someone in MN did this, and turned out great!

I knew of a bike in Ohio painted that color, If it is the one, it has a lot of hard miles on it. What is the chances of another 09 with a high end Burgundy paint job.

Yup! Burgundy was not an 09 color. We had a red one.

How far are you from either Springfield, MO or Cuba, MO?
You might want to check with PitBull Powersports, or CowTown, and see if they've got anything there that might be useful...
    Good luck!

I agree, I had an RSV with plans to do a conversion similar to one from DE. Just never found the right donor to put it into. Lost interest and ended up parting out the bike for considerably more than what I paid for the complete bike.
Complete bikes in good running condition can be had for under 5k. Some even have some nice work done already.
It's not a "drop in" solution though....But SO much more fun than stock.

I was wondering about what happened to your "Project Aprilia-Power" bike... I'm sorry to hear that it never saw the road...

RS/GS Spyders with blown motors seem nearly impossible to find. Was on the fence on using mine but decided to stay with the ecu reflash and retain vss/abs. Then when the wife took over riding it, I completely lost interest and felt that she is better with the added safety components being a new rider.

It's a cool project and the spyder screams with the upgrade, but you can get half way there with an ECU reflash on the 08'-12'.

Bigeddieo, what's wrong with the motor in your 08'? Might be cheaper/easier to rebuild.
