Another question
I cannot find the answer to my question, when downshift on your SE6 do you 1) keep giving gas to the throttle and release the gas slowly until complete doenshift or 2) you let the throttle off when downshifting or 3) it does not matter use the brakes, downshift and throttle off. Thank you.

downshift
I usually release the throttle. If yours is the SE6 it can actually downshift for you also.

Thank you, I do have a SE6 and I do release the throttle too, but other riders told me that you should keep giving gas when downshifting, I am not sure why.

You don't have to release the throttle; the computer takes care of it for you.

I'm with Bob on this. The computer has programming to handle every shifting situation.

If I'm slowing down I release the throttle, if I am accelerating to pass or going up a hill I keep the throttle on.

Depends.....
When I'm slowing down & need to do it quickly, down shifting with no throttle helps slow the spyder faster.
If I don't have to slow down quickly then I just back off the throttle & use the brake. The computer takes care of the shifting great.
It's just a matter of what you are comfortable with. There is no right or wrong way when slowing down & down shifting. JMHO
