HID throughing code

when I installed them they worked great for over a year but now they are causing a code to be thrown. I know when I bought them there was an option for something to prevent this but I cannot even remember who I bought them from. Anyone else have the same problems and if so what did you do?

Why do you think it hasta be the HID??

Especially so now, after they've been working for so long without any issues?? Or so we hafta assume... yeah, I know what assuming does, but that's one of the joys of trying to diagnose things over the internet with only partial info - and often the person asking the question simply can't provide all the necessary info because they don't really know what the problem is... which is why they are asking! But if you've got a code, please tell us - it might make it a whole lot easier to help!
