Anybody have impressions on TricLED USA Flag for RT?
I have been looking at the USA map that fits on the back of the RT. Anyone have any experience with it or impressions? Any problems with PD on unapproved lights on back of bike... especially in Texas?
Just curious....
Thanks in advance.

I have driven thru several states so Far and have not had any issue with the LED Flag mounted on the rear fender. I put a dimmer on mine so I can turn it on or off and dim the brightness

The flag looks great and I get a lot of complements about it from both riders and cages. I really doubt if any police officer worth his salt will give you a tough time about it.

I have had several LEOs question me about the LED flags. Usually wanting to know where to get one for their harley.....
Never once a problem with it. They work great on the rear fender of the F3-T or L as well.

I had a couple Spyder owners told us the same stores, they got pulled over by cop and asked them where to buy or wanted to see it from up close.
We sold several led flags to a retired cop, that's also a bike rider, for him and his retired-cop friends.
We now carry the smaller size led flag of 3x5 inches, and the regular size is 4x6.
Still the same Stars and Stripes.

Cindy,
Once I'm able to get the lights for the backs of my saddlebags: the Flag is next!

I can only imagine:
I get pulled over and ticketed for flying a LED flag.
i go to court
I mention I'm a retired Army Officer, as well as a disabled veteran.
men have fought and died for that flag.
It is an honor to display it!
case dismissed!

Cindy...
first of all. Thanks for your comment... does the flag just hook into the light wire for the license plate? Do u have to splice or is it plug and play?

IMG_0036.jpgSomtimes my flag doesn't work correctly. If I wiggle the wire behind the fender it will come on completely. Hoping I can get this fixed at Syderfest this year.Plus some more lights added while I am there.

I was pulled over by the California Hwy Patrol and was told by the Officer (who was a A**HOLE) that if he ever saw me again with the flag lite up even if I was escorting a Veteran to the National Cemetery in Dixon, CA he would pull me over and put me in front of the court and explain why I was running a blue light to the rear on the spyder. I love my Country and I love my Flag, but he is right about a blue light to the rear in CA.

There's always one in every crowd, unfortunately. Having said that, I put an on-off switch on mine, because honestly at night it can be obnoxiously bright regardless of the colors.

I think they look great. I Carry them, ready to mount on my Universal Hitch Mount. I did take mine off after a buddy ,who has one of mine, got stopped twice and ticketed once in the Portland, Or. area. In Oregon it is illegal to have ANY blue lights on the back of a vehicle. My friend has served our Country two times in Vietnam Vet. and is furious. He refuses to remove it. Yes, there are police out there who seem to have no concept of what that Red, White and BLUE represents to us who have served our Country with pride and honor.

I wonder if you were sporting a thin blue line flag if the same cops would stop and ticket you - probably... while the vast majority are cool, like anything else theres a few bad apples that spoil the bunch.

I appreciate your comments. I have one ordered for installation next weekend. We will see how the Texas enforcement are. Hopefully they will not ticket me. I think it looks awesome.

I think they look awesome too. My friend won't ride his Slingshot to my town, Newberg, Or. That's where he got stopped both times. diff. cops. He doesn't seem to have problems anywhere in Or.

Sounds like time for you to install a simple switch for him. For those 'American unfriendly' towns
