Parking Brake Cable Problem

Having a problem with the parking brake on a 2012 RT. The cable is breaking at the bracket. Any suggestions....Changed back tire and now the cable has broken twice at the cable adjustment bracket in the back. Seems cable may be too short????

A bit more info might come in handy Charles.... Got any more details about what's going on & why/how etc?? How often has a cable broken on you? Which bracket, the activation end under the tupperware or the engagement end on the rear wheel? Any particular circumstances that might help us get an idea of what's going on?? Need more background info....
