That's not the correct size, unless you're trying to do something different.

I am running Continental Contiprocontact 165/60 R15 on the front tires.
Changed the Kenda's @ 12,807 miles, I have a 2014RTS-SE6.
I changed the front tires last year, the spyder handles fine, on dry, wet roads. The tires push the water away, great road contact. No problems with the nanny. Here is a picture of the Continental Contiprocontact : New Front Tires ( Continental) 014.jpg &New Front Tires ( Continental) 013.jpg space between fender and tire, New Front Tires ( Continental) 009.jpg tire tread. I running them @ 19PSI. Deanna

I went the Hankook route but i went with the Optimo in the 175/65/14 on my 2011, I like the way they handle .

What size are you running?

They are showing no signs of wear with 15,000 miles and I would recommend them. They are available in the stock size. Bought one set on newegg.com and another for a customer on e-bay.
What size? I am having a hard time finding 165/55r15

IdahoMtnSpyder, sorry about not getting back to you sooner, life got in the way, and I was . The tight fit ( Width wise) is finger width. If you end up getting the Continental Contiprocontact tires stay with the tire size: 165/ 60 R15. Mike has a 2014RT- Basic, no fender supports.
I have the same spyder as you do 2014RTS-SE6, and the same color. Deanna

I put 18 in mine just because I ran 18 in the front Kendas. But I have now got some mileage on them and it seems fine and the tires are working well. In fact I think it has improved handling. I'm happy with the Contis in 175/55R15's. They fit well. No Mods needed.

FRONT TIRE PRESSURE

Any car tire used on any Spyder should be inflated at far lower pressures than you would for those tires used on your car ...... Car tires are much stronger, built much different than the OEM Kenda's and support far more weight than our Spyder's ...... Think about it , a 4000 lb car needs a PSI of about 32 ..... a 1100 lb . spyder needs a PSI of about 16 and this is the high side of the psi needs....... This is especially critical when it RAINS .... the " SIPES " on the tires need to flex to be most effective and they won't if the tire is over-inflated based on the weight of the Spyder ......... ride safe - ride Happy ..................
