Default Purchased new rim for rear

I have purchased a new Kuhmo tire and dealer will install but I wanted to get my rims powder coated. The front is not a problem. I was thinking of purchasing a 2nd rim and have it powder coated them have dealer install tire and assembly parts (hub, Axle and Bearing) from my original rim. I am told that this is not possible as they will not swap the assembly. My question is it possible to use two rims (powder coated) with the same assembly as in the future I can have a new tire replaced on second rim and cut down the down time for replacement. Thanks ahead of time for your time and info.

    Default Not seeing a problem

If you have the same rim as the stock one you can have one powder coated and switch back and forth. For the ease you should have all the bearings spacers etc on both so all you have to do is swap out the sproket and dampners...

Why not just purchase the Chromed accessory rim?

    Default POWER COAT VS PAINT

IMHO people powder coat for durability ....I don't see this as a necessity for the rear wheel .... so why not just save yourself a lot of money and headaches and just Paint it ...... Mike

That is what I did. I wanted to powder coat it and then I thought about removing the seals and bearings and putting it all back together again and I went and got a can of spray paint and painted it. Still looks good after 18000 miles.
