    Default First ride!

After staring at my 2008 Red SM5 for two months in my garage I finally got to ride yesterday! I put about 100 kms. on it and I get it now.....this thing is way too much fun!!!
Once you realize that it won't in fact tip over in a turn, my confidence built quite quickly.
I adjusted the front shocks up a notch and was really pleased with the difference.
    Yup...Jacked it up..lubed it up....broke the cam!!
The metal they are using is GARBAGE! Even the adjusting tool left marks in the metal.
I think it will stay in position, It just sheared the lobe off.
Hey Scotty...I checked the oil before and after the ride and it's full and of perfect colour so it looks like problem solved!
    Gotta go ride!

Dealers have been known to replace shocks for that very reason.

I started reading about your saga when you first posted it. Thankfully for SpyderLovers and your inquiry, you probably saved your Spyder. Glad to hear your weather is getting to be the riding kind. Enjoy your Spyder. Happy Trails and Ryde Safe.
