    Default fault codes display

I forget...has anybody else tried this?

Turn the ignition switch to "on"

Clear the warning message with the mode button on the left handlebar

Use the mode button to select the "Hr" mode (it must be in this mode),

Depress the headlight override switch on the right front handlebar
and the mode switch on the left front handlebar at the same time

While holding these two buttons in, quickly hit the high beam flasher button on the the left grip five times in quick succession

The fault codes should scroll across the instrument panel and you can relay them to the dealer.

yeah thats how you can get the fault code and if you have the manual you can look up the code meaning. I have used it to see what the fault was when I had the brake failure notice scroll across my display....

If the engine is running, you do all that you said, except you do not need to depress the headlight override switch.

So you are saying we do not need to do the headlight override switch? All is needed is to hold the mode switch? Am I correct?

And the engine is running right? I mean after you Clear the warning message with the mode button on the left handlebar? Or do you need not to start the engine?

That's correct. Clear the warning message, start the engine, (assuming it's not an engine problem), depress the mode button on left handlebar and flash the headlights 5 times.

This is such useful information that I printed it and put the page inside my owner's manual, so that it would always be readily accessible.

    Thanks go to you all!

Sorry, but I did forget to mention that you have to have the Hr mode screen showing. (just work your way through the different modes with the mode button on the left handlebar until the Hr mode is showing ).
