worked with a guy who was a line man, he would work on all the high voltage lines. he said he would see two birds sitting on different wires peck each other, and blow up. but i think this is a fake, only because, why would a camera be on the bird at the right time

If you notice he didn't peck anything when he vanished. And before he was pecking the top of the pole, so something is faked. You have to become the conduit to ground or another voltage level, i.e. 220 to 110 or either to ground.
We have squirrels all the time get between two terminals on a transformer on the pole, the bitch is that it not takes out the squirrel, but the transformer so we are out of juice for a few.

One of the hardest decisions you'll ever face in life is choosing whether to walk away or try harder.

if you watch the shadow of the wire on the pole, it's position changes on the

I agree it is. You never see a wood pole close enough to high voltage lines for a bird to reach one from the other.
But here is a situation that was real. A friend of mine in Louisiana worked for Louisiana Power and Light. He was telling me one day the company wondered why there were so many dead egrets at the base of the steel towers carrying power lines across Lake Pontchartrain. They set up video cameras and discovered that egrets had a habit of discharging a stream of poop immediately before taking off. What was happening was just before an egret that was sitting on a power line close to a steel tower would take off they did their usual discharge. The stream would hit the tower and it was enough to create a ground from the bird to the tower. No more live bird. Insulating tubes on the wires at the towers solved the problem.
