Lazer alignment for an RT
Was just wondering, what is a good price range to pay for a good Lazer Alignment? Was told price would be $120.00 is that within the normal price range. Also anything should ask like certain equipment.?
Thanks

That is normal for the independents, dealerships are sometimes more. spydercomfort.com/dealers will get you listings of folks doing the ROLO laser alignments.

For that price: are they going to hook the bike up to BUDS, and re-set the steering sensor?

what is the need of laser alignment? A local shop put my new rear Kumho tire on my RT & no need for an alignment. I put over 5k on new tire & no problems at all. there is a trick to removing old tire & wheel so new one can be installed without readjusting anything on rear of Spyder. Saved a ton of money.

So enlighten us with the trick. Having a hard time thinking of anyway to replace tires so they are in the exact location (for toe in and out) as the old set?.

the trick i found from a local Spyder shop is that when removing rear wheel. TO PUT TAPE on rear of frame on both sides before pulling off wheel. This way it keeps everything inline as it was before removing old tire. DON'Tturn anything one way or another while removing old tire. WATCHED THEM DO IT WITH MY 2014 rt after 5k on new rear tire runs perfect. also front tires i wearing evenly with over14k on them. no expense on having a laser alignment. spyder handles great after 14k since i purchashed my Spyder last June absolutely NOcomplaints.

That's how we do it, painter's tape over the axle adjusters to keep them from falling off during tire removal.

putting tape over rear of axle adjusters before removing old tire & wheel keeps everything in place so when u remount new tire with wheel everything stays in same alignment. The sho i go to has done it with many Spyders & it saves a ton of money!

Just be forewarned that many dealers purchased the Rolo laser alignment tools and therefore are listed on the site.....but never figured out how to use them and do not do laser alignments. Or do the few they do get poorly. Just because they have the tools does not mean they know how to use them.
