Service campaigns on 2015 F3/F3-S...
I got a call the other week about 2 open "campaigns" on my 2015 F3-S. 2015-7 & 2015-9 are the campaign numbers. One is for a reinforcement to be installed at the upper shock mount for the rear shock (under the seat) and the other is for a gearbox position sensor.... If you have an F3 or F3-S and haven't been contacted about it you might want to contact BRP or your servicing dealer to find out if these affect your ride! Checking online at BRP's site does no good! I checked, it said nothing, I sent them an email and sure enough mine needs both.

Those are not recalls. They are warranty campaigns. Items to be fix when the vehicle comes in for service. Not a safety item that requires a recall. So of course looking online for recalls for your vehicle will not show any.

Could you please explain why one repair might be covered in a Recall, and another by a simple Technical Service Bulletin?

Gotta say...
Seems they would get in touch with all and have them come in and have the work done rather than run risks at the customers expense...

One of my pet peeves is when people refer to "recalls" when they are really service bulletins. Everyone should periodically check with their dealers to find out if there are any bulletins for their Spyder especially if you do your own service.

Well, in my 20+ years in the automotive industry, the difference between a recall and a simple service campaign was that a recall was "actively" managed. Meaning, reaching out to the customer to make them aware and get the vehicle back in to address the situation(s) (this is what happened for me) vs waiting to notify a customer about them/it if/when the vehicle comes in for service.
But I went ahead and changed it so folks can feel better....
