Default Keep rain off my neck

I'm looking for any suggestions on how to keep rain from entering the collar area of my jacket. I wear a schuberth modular helmet and have waterproof gear, but I end up with a gap between the base of my helmet and the top of my jacket collar that I'm trying to cover up. Helmet now fits correctly so I can't have anything bulky under helmet. So far I have found this waterproof balaclava at revzilla that looks promising, but I was hoping to not have my nose or mouth covered and have it thin under the helmet. Anyone using something different?

There are helmet skirts that attach to the bottom of the helmet. I've never tried one though, and the one review doesn't look good.

Thank you Jo Ann, had not seen those before and will check into them. I might also look at modifying the original one I posted and seeing how difficult it would be to remove the mouth and one covering portion.

    Default Rainproof Balaclava

Check out the Winter Touring Balaclava from Alpinestars. It has a waterproof rain skirt. I have worn it many times in the rain and it works well.

Have you found it to be too warm to wear in the summer months, or is it ok? Any issues with the seams irritating you after having it on for a while?
    Thanks for the info

No it is very comfortable in all riding conditions. If I don't want it over my mouth and nose I just pull that part below my chin.

I put my Frog Togg jacket hood on and then my helmet. The hood is thin enough, so that it doesn't affect the fit of the helmet.

Put hood attached to my raingear on first then helmet...never an issue..have worn with 1/2, 3/4 and full helmets... if cold add the bacalava others mentioned. I personally use one from Cycle Gear...Freeze out brand.

A rainsuit with an attached hood is your best choice...
    Here's why:
If the balaclava is tucked in under your jacket: any rain that it keeps off of your neck, will simply follow it's natural path down inside your jacket. You shirt will soon be soaking wet!

Old-time riders simply wrapped a small hand towel or scarf around their neck to close the gap between the jacket and the neck. This is based on the ssumption that not a lot of water actually trickles down your neck.

If you haven't already, make sure you put a mudflap on your RT.
the back side aero on these is POOR, and rear tire spray gets sucked up and forward.
No other cycle will soak your neck like this thing.
