Default Which one do you have?

Don't really want to pay for a expensive Go Pro, was wondering what everyone is using for a dashcam on your spyder and how is it mounted?

I have a Geek Pro 2 camera. Came with an extra battery and the video quality is excellent. It is pretty easy to use, and has the video screen in back so you can see how your shot is gonna look. Cost 65 bucks on Amazon. Here is a video I took of one of my rides on the Dragon this summer.

We have a Garmin Virb. It is now out of production so they are very inexpensive now. They work well, and are almost indisrtuctable. It is mounted to a behind the windscreen mount by JT's shop on the home page.

    Default Dash Cam

I would suggest looking at the Vivitar cameras. 12 megapixel camera, uses GoPro mounts and can be viewed while filming. The case is waterproof. I bought mine at WalMart for $79.00.

The video quality is very good.

    Good Luck

Are you looking for something to just record short videos or do you want something to continuously record (loop) in the event
Of an incident? I have GoPros, Dash cams, and also an Airpro 2 on my helmet. I like the dash cam for recording events just in case, but I also like the air pro on my helmet because it is easy to operate and I can turn my head and record wherever I look to capture video not in front of me.
    Good luck with your choice.

    I have this one: http://www.gearbest.com/action-camer...47.html?wid=21

Outstanding camera for the price, durable and waterproof (I have swam with it), and it takes great video. It is also cheap enough that if I lose it I do not flip out. It comes with a full set of quality mounts.

Had a truck pull out in front of us, had to take to the side of the road to not get hit. All lights on and Hi vis shirts on. Want a continous loop cam with good quality video that mounts to the bike or windshield, something where the loop is 12 hours or so, that can be saved.

    Default dual cameras

I've put this system on innovv.jpegshowing both the front and rear with continuous recording with a wired remote for instant file saving and gps. Both camera's have excellent quality and it's very compact and the camera's can hardly be seen

The dollars spent to buy a camera are almost secondary. Be prepared to spend a lot of time editing the video footage down to what the average family member and/or friend will enjoy watching! Don't know if you're old enough or not to remember the 8mm movie fad from the 50's and 60's that led to hours of boring family videos, but IMO GoPro and competitors have resurrected that craze!

I like dealing with gearbest. Even though they are overseas, you receive your purchase fairly quickly. If I didn't already wear glasses, I'd purchase a set of these. These are more dynamic vs static where you are stuck shooting in one direction.

Any camera that uses the same mounts as gopro can use one of these mounts. I've used with my gopro while driving my Jeep, and it works well.

Who is JT. I am particularly interested in that custom metal bar that you have bolted to your dashboard.
